Analysis of 4th image:
This picture has four important artifacts but I will focus on the actual rope from rope burn. The other artifacts include my schedule during Taconic Games, part of the lyrics sheet from my teams' march song, and a picture from the actual rope burn event. This is a picture of a page from my scrapbook that I created after my final summer as a camper. I saved a piece of the rope from Rope Burn as a memory of my last summer. I was actually captain of my team that year so I participated in Rope Burn. Rope Burn is the evening activity for the first night of Taconic Games. The 4 teams go to the lake and cheer on as a few, selected members get to actually set up the fire for rope burn. The four teams have other people collect wood and leaves before the event begins. Teams are given a limited amount of newspaper and matches to use during Rope Burn. My team ended up coming in 2nd for Rope Burn. The rope is attached to two wooden stands and the first team to burn their rope in half wins. I know to most people it seems just like a piece of rope, but to me it has much more meaning behind it.
